Day 11 – delivered my stressful work presentation. 30 min run with Matty. Fancy new TV delivered and set up and our little inherited imperfect house keeps feeling more and more like home. Ringing in a 3-day weekend with 007 in 4k tonight.

Day 10

Needed my ass kicked this morning, and the ass-kicking was delivered. Tortilla soup for dinner. Life is still a lot and I’m looking forward to a long weekend starting tomorrow at 2pm. #habitstothrive

Day 9

Only Tuesday, but life is a lot. Plumber came and restored cold water! I took a full on rest day. We watched some Happy Endings and my favorite cute little anime – Laid Back Camp. Had hot dogs on tortillas for dinner.

Day 7: 30 min run with Daniel McKenna, my new fave Peloton coach. Did some house chores – the workout room is almost ready. Picked up McD’s hot fudge sundaes for “lunch,” made pickle soup for dinner. Not ready for Monday but it’s coming! #habitstothrive

Day 6 (yesterday): 6 beach miles, only a few of them in the rain. Lazy Saturday with bad tv and whiskey #habitstothrive

Day 5: Kicked it off with a 45 min Tread Bootcamp with Daniel McKenna and it was awesome. Husband made fried rice with mushrooms for dinner. It was another long day at work, and fully ready for the weekend!

Day 4: Busy work day. Snuck in 5 min on the bike, pizza for dinner. Mood is still positive so letting a less than stellar day slide. Tomorrow, I’ll aim for a longer treadmill run before I open the computer.

Finding way

I’m desperate to get back on some kind of track. It’s been such a long 2 years. On top of the crazy state of everything for everyone, we left Texas in November, and the chaos of life before has been completely overshadowed by the chaos since.

We’re rehabbing my late mother’s house, which was beset by a hoarder tenant who happens to be closely related to me. We’ve been living out of suitcases and airbnbs since. And honestly it’s been hell.

time passes

We’ve been in the house for about a week now. We have all new flooring, with scraped popcorn and newly painted ceilings. It’s not perfect, or even good yet, but we’re trying to find our way.

I have a lot of … something about this painting. The scale of these “sailboats” is super wrong, and they all seem awfully close and have you been to Gulf Coast? no way the water is deep enough for your boat this near to shore.
